What We Do:
Interactive Voice Response (IVR) is a term for the automated systems that handle billions of phone calls a year.
The IVR Design Group LLC (IDG) is a communications technology consultancy that provides IVR design and development professional services.
If you're a company that builds IVRs, we provide expert technical assistance on an outsourced basis.
If you're from an end-user company thinking about building an IVR, or improving your current IVR, let us help you out.
Whether its touch tone (DTMF) or speech recognition, inbound or outbound, integrated with a call center or standalone, hosted or on premise, we can help.

Speech Strategy Consulting:
Here are some of the strategic questions we help clients answer:
- Should we invest in this company or technology?
- Should we incorporate speech technology into our products or services?
- In the telephony world, should we deploy a speech recognition application or touch tone or both?
- Which recognition vendor should we use? Who are the vendors, what are the pro's and con's?
- Which application development environments are out there and which should we use?
- Who are the suppliers of development services and their pros and cons?
- How do we integrate the application with our back-end databases?
- Should we use a hosted solution, an on-premise solution or a hybrid solution?
- How do we go about designing the application?
- How should the system be rolled out and tested?
- Can we do alphanumeric recognition?
- What about speaker verification?
Clients include end user companies, platform providers and investors. We provide consulting at hourly rates or as fixed bids.

VUID Toolkit:
The Voice User Interface Designers Toolkit is an open-source project that includes custom Visio stencils, Visual Basic macros and Python code that supports designing and maintaining a voice user interface. The tools do not generate code, but instead help partially automate the iterative design process. Think of it as a sort of VUI CAD system.
