IQ Services announces Disaster Recovery testing services
IQ SERVICES, Minneapolis, MN - (March 23, 2006)— IQ Services today announced the launch of Disaster Recovery/Business Continuation testing services for contact center and communication business solutions. IQ Services’ Disaster Recovery StressTest™ allows organizations to test their disaster recovery/business continuation plans with heavy loads of real traffic into their business solution, thus enabling them to verify the success of the plan before it’s actually needed. “Business continuity focuses on managing the risk associated with possible interruptions to business activity,” said Jim Jenkins, President and CEO of IQ Services. “By testing their business continuation plan, organizations can reduce the inherent risk within the plan and be confident their plan will work in the event it needs to be implemented.” A Disaster Recovery StressTest™ can be used to test rollover to backup sites, sudden traffic redirection to split production sites and even total reboots. Companies work with IQ Services to develop a step-by-step testing plan that thoroughly exercises the system components on which their business continuation plan depends. The company can simulate a disaster by shutting down components of their business solution during the test and observe what happens to the traffic as it is processed from end-to-end. Companies can also take advantage of IQ Services’ performance and availability monitoring services, HeartBeat™ and WebBeat™, to be confident their backup systems continue to perform as expected. HeartBeat™ and WebBeat™ services interact with a business solution at regularly scheduled intervals and alert the company if the solution doesn’t perform as expected. IQ Services is also currently in discussions with Plexent, a leader in business continuity and disaster recovery planning. In a team approach, Plexent and IQ Services can offer fully tested business and disaster recovery plans for business solutions employing the latest communications technology.
